Artemis Fowl

www.gstatic.com/tv/thumb/v22vodart/16291824/p16...Before COVID-19 rocked our world, and when we were driving every day, we would often listen to audiobooks. We had listened to dozens upon dozens of them and it was always amazing that my son could follow the story so closely and pick up where we left off, even if it had been days.  My adult brain had 1,000 other things to think about so I couldn't follow most of them.

Artemis Fowl was a book that my husband and son had listened to and really liked. They'd been looking forward to the movie coming out for months, and based on the great reviews of the books they'd heard, I was excited about it too.

Last night was THE BIG night!  We had it planned for days: Dewey's for dinner, Artemus Fowl and some wine because my wine delivery was coming that day.  I had no idea what to expect when we were watching it, and although it was a good movie, there were a lot of discrepancies between the books and the movie.   No cussing, no sex, minor battles with some freezing action which I always love, and a tranquilizer dart being shot.  Adorable sassy fairies, leprechauns, and dwarfs. There are some goblins and a troll that are pretty ugly and may be creepy to much younger viewers.  There is also a character that can unhinge his jaw so you get a view of what that would look like.  He eats dirt as as he eats it, he opens a bum flap and farts massive wind.
