Hello! Last night was my pick for movie night and I was having trouble committing. My original plan was Hook, but it's almost 2 1/2 hours long so we had to nix that one. We spent so much time enjoying the beautiful night swimming and didn't want to cut the fun short to watch a long movie. Next was PeeWee's Big Adventure, but I just wasn't feeling it. While browsing through some of our Roku channels, we found
Heavyweights. I don't remember ever watching this movie before, but it was so fun! It's about a camp for overweight kids that had a long history of fun and friendship, but it came under new ownership and their fun abruptly ended. No worries, the good guys win. Lots of laughs and silliness. The kids are adorable, they have great friendships, AND my son who has been anti-going-to-camp for years actually said he wants to go to camp now!
No sex, although a threat is made to kick someone in his bits so hard he won't be able to have children. No cussing that I remember.
Overall, a fun family movie and the verdict is that we'd definitely watch it again.
