We love superhero movies in our house. DC, Marvel, we aren't loyal to one, we love them both. Last night, Guardians of the Galaxy was the Marvel movie of my husband's choosing. We've seen this one a number of times and although it's not as funny as the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, it's still a great choice for older children, at least 8 years and older (of course this depends on your family and what you're OK with). The soundtrack is THE BEST! We have a Guardians of the Galaxy channel on Spotify, Amazon Music and Pandora and listen to it all the time.
Be prepared for some violence, explosions, death, flipping the bird and cussing (ass, dick, bullshit, bastard and shit) if you go for this one. No sex, but there is discussion about one of the characters being a ladies man in the past.
